Min. Butler has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science minoring in Psychology, along with a Master in Public Administration from Southern University A & M College, Baton Rouge, LA.. She has graced many platforms as a Conference Speaker and as the Former NAACP President of Chapter, #6315. Min. Butler has a passion for children and youths to accomplish their dreams, visions, and destinies.
Throughout her years, Min. Butler has given her life to her contention, “We Serve God Through Serving Others.” She received her Ministerial License from Choice International Ministries, Bishop Antoine M. Jasmine, General Overseer, Laplace, LA. Presently, Min. Butler serves as the Drama Director at her church.
Many people have deemed her speeches as life-changing and heart transforming. In 2017, Min. Butler received Playwright of the Year by Church Stars Christian Entertainment Network. In Theater Productions & Films, her Gospel Stage Play Productions are a tool used to win souls. She engages in many humanitarian efforts, in Ghana, Africa, the Accra Region and had a Presidential Visit with the Ghanaian President, John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor. Min. Butler enjoys accomplishing the Mission & Vision of SeLah Productions, Inc., (SPI) internationally.
Min. Butler is the CEO of JaVon Ophelia’s ACT, (JOACT), Mentorship & Learning for the Performing Arts Program in which children, youths, & adults receive training in Acting, Singing, & Dancing. Her collegiate program entitled, “Theatre Me”, offers college students the opportunity to volunteer in Theater.
Min. Butler is the Host of her weekly Web Talk Show, “SeLah’s Spot—The Virtual View.” The talk show topics include current events within SeLah Productions, Inc., (SPI), and ends with an inspirational word. As the Chief Intercessor for “SeLah’s Serenity Prayer Line,” Min. Butler prays for the nations weekly.
Min. Butler appeared on The Word Network in Detroit, Michigan, Majesty Now in Waycross, Georgia, Cox Across Louisiana and Local NBC 33 WVLA in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has engaged in radio interviews locally and nationally. In her prophetic gift, she has ministered to many about their destinies and purposes for their lives.
Min. Butler is mostly known as a notorious Vision and Glory Carrier. She has inspired many from her favorite scripture, Habakkuk 2:2-3, as she continues to push everyone who witnesses her speaking engagements to carry the vision that God has given them so that His Glory would be reflected in their lives and on the earth. Min. Butler is the proud daughter of the late Joseph Butler, Sr. and the late Joy Ann Woodland Butler of Lutcher, LA. Min. Butler was the proud owner of her late 13 year-old West Highland White Terrier, Jasper Orion Butler.
In the International Front, Min. Butler is a member of the well-known investment group, Business Summit. Recently, she was named as a “Louisiana Leading Lady” by Leaders Publications. Min. Butler was honored as an Unsung Hero for Women’s History Month at the Governor’s Mansion by First Lady Donna Edwards, wife of Governor John Bel Edwards for the State of Louisiana. This is considered one of the most prestigious awards amongst women in the State of Louisiana.
